Pain is inevitable, misery is optional. Clancy Miller (Christiana Dawn Fougnie, in her movie debut) is a 12 year-old who has suffered terrible abuse, yet lives her life with an inspiring faith. In order to avoid the social workers searching for her, Clancy runs away and out on the streets, meets Nick (Jefferson Moore, The Perfect Stranger, Another Stranger and The Perfect Gift), an ill-tempered, homeless veteran. The town’s corrupt mayor (J. Robert Bailley, Melrose Place) devises a plan to capitalize on Clancy’s disappearance to ensure his re-election. However, the mayor’s scheme takes an unexpected turn, leaving the situation more desperate for everyone involved.
