When my friend told us that she was moving we were a little sad. She was sad too, but for more than just that... she had to leave her beloved Key Lime tree behind. I have had some success with propagating fruit trees so I wanted to see if I could help her take this tree with her.

UPDATE!! It is NOT a good idea to move citrus around the state!

Is is a bad idea to move citrus around Texas and in California. Citrus in Florida has been pretty much wiped out by a disease called citrus greening or huanglongbing or HLB. See:

The economic damage in Florida is in the billions of dollars and thousands of people have lost their jobs.

The disease is 100% fatal and exists in Texas and is threatening citrus farmers and homeowners all over the state:
