Medita en la diligente obra de Esdras: “Llego´ a ser Esdras un portavoz de Dios que educaba en los principios que rigen el cielo a cuantos lo rodeaban.
Durante los an~os restantes de su vida, tanto mientras estaba cerca de la corte del rey de Medopersia como cuando se hallaba en Jerusale´n, su obra principal consistio´ en ensen~ar. A medida que comunicaba a otros las verdades que aprendi´a, aumentaba su propia capacidad para el trabajo. Era hombre piadoso y celoso. Fue delante del mundo un testimonio del poder que tiene la verdad bi´blica para ennoblecer la vida diaria” (PR 447, 448).
